LIQUEFACTION BEHAVIOR OF SANDS AND METHODS OF PREVENTION

摘要
砂質土壤最常發生的問題不是抗剪強度的破壞,亦不是允許承載力的失敗;而是液化(Liquefaction)與反復流動性(Cyclic Mobility)行為的產生。砂土在力學與工程性質而言,為良好的基礎材料,其體積不會隨含水量之改變而變化。但是飽和砂土(位於地下水位以下者)會因四周應力之變化,或外在因素的擾動產生結構不穩定,而導致工程破壞問題,這種砂土顆粒結構不穩定之情形,稱之為液化與反復流動性行為。
本文為筆者收集各專家學者研究之液化行為結果加以整理,並對於多地震的本省所可能產生之液化問題,與防治方法,加以探討並提出建議。
英文摘要
This paper firstly presents the steady state behaviors for sands which based on the relation between the critical void ratio and critical effective confining pressure. Then, liquefaction, cyclic mobility, and quick condition are discussed, following the phenomenon of steady state for sands under undrained condition.
In addition, the gravel drain system for stabilizing liquefiable soils and modification of the system with geotextile are also mentioned.
